The grounds belonged to the Laird of Seaton, Lord Malcome Hay (1881-1962) who had a large house here, which was burned
down in the 60's. Aberdeen council purchased the land as a park in 1947. The grounds, which extend far to the right and
left of the gardens are maintained to a high standard, where children and adults alike can enjoy the space and colour
